I feel the need to add this: If you are familiar with X-Dream project, COP - Urban Alien album.. Keep that in mind. Now take small elements from X-Dreams other project, The Delta, album schizoaffective.

Ok now for Planet BEN: Take trippy future garden and think of the trippy without it melting everywhere, however not as minimal as Planet BENs silver.

So after mentioning that, think of all of the elements you like from the above mentioned and you have this album. I love goa, look at my collection, but this disc is an essential. Tight and precise loops. Drippy with nice bass and effects. Varying stark but dramatic moments. Not "dark", not "happy". Total showoff material.

Don't expect too much from this even though Planet BEN. and X-Dream have both released some amazing albums in the past.

My general impression is that most of the tracks are too dull and boring. This release reminds me of Ben's album "Silver". Granted I rated "Silver" 2/5 and I'll rate this 3/5, but you really ought to listen to his earlier work instead of this if you want to hear him at his best. His track "Non Sense", released in 1998, one of my favorites, is really amazingly intricate and absorbing. Unfortunately, though you'll hear a similar beat in several of these tracks, you won't find anything 1/2 as complex or well done on this release.
