I love synth pop so I’ve picked up a few Owl City albums over the last few years. He’s been fairly consistent with his output, picking up where The Postal Service left off on “Such Great Heights”, and delivering lots of great songs in this style.

On this album, the talent still shines but the production goes up several notches. Rather than sounding like brilliantly delivered Indie synth pop, there’s a glossy sheen to this album and Owl City takes a step toward mainstream pop.

There’s a great set of songs here, including “Shooting Star”, the duet with Carly Rae Jepson “Good Time”, and my favorite “Gold”.

A worthy addition to any synth pop lovers collection!
