Some notes from P.N.:

We did not expect that this kind of music would come out when we decided to collaborate. The beats of Rob combined with my chords, bass and melody. I just let go during the making of this. Perhaps this is the reason for the rather melodic outcome as I just reacted on the beats.
While I sat in the studio to work on track 2..a blackbird came to the window and sung along...in the same key and even in the same rhythmic sense...I watched this for 2 minutes and immediately built up the microphone...I recorded for 30 seconds and then I decreased the music to have some blackbird solo..but as soon as I decreased level the blackbird disappeared. Listen to the outcome at the end of track 2.
The next day...while I did the melody and chords for the third track the same thing happened...I was prepared and so I recorded the session...what you hear is the studio monitor sound and the blackbird on one channel (just added some slight delay and reverb) and the same mix on the other channel.
On the last track I had the beats from Rob and tried to do something which would make more -melodic-sense...but I started to experiment with a rather aggressive beats and ended up experimenting for 2 days. Most of you might hate the track...but on the other hand I assume you like me for not tailoring my music to your taste...

love that album, for me it's a classic. Some soft and nice melody, and The Hunt is strong experimental noise track.

"Flat Pack and "Blackbird Suite" are nice blends between Drum n Bass and IDM. "She Ship" is on a similar boat as the two previously mentioned tracks. Though it contains some dull beeping noise on some parts which slightly ruins the track. "The Hunt" shouldn't be here at all. It's a typical ambient / experimental track that is quite boring / drags forever and is easily skippable.

Some fantastic music esp. tracks 2and 3. If enjoyed ambient techno 'Papae New Gunuia' by FSOL - you going to live this!

Don't waste your time on this release, skip directly to track 4.

The disc is a nice blend of ambience and some light and funky trance. it is older styled trance, yet this is different than the typical trance in the day. There seems to be an acid jazzy feel to all of the tracks. The music is actually beautiful in many areas.

Track two is is a nice mellow IDM piece. The electronics are lush sounding, with a subtle hypnotic warm bass. The ambience is simple sounding, but the namlook synth samples take this album to a new level. Bright sounding, with the blend of bass and sporadic beats.

Track three turns into some light hearted drum and bass. Its gleems forward into some drifting IDM. Danceable, yet melodic enough to dream away. This track changes a few times, yet never straying from its original sound.

Track four is some drawn out dark ambient mixed with some psychotic synths. There is a more incoherent direction mounted with some noisey chaos sounding samples. It settles down and ends with a nice flowing manner.

Over all this is a really nice disc. Laid back, mellow and ready to chill with.
