Trance in Saigon is a great example of 90's trance from the intro right through to the end, incredibly melodic with a beautiful feel good 303 that fades in and leads to a masterful build up which exemplifies the 90's, a constantly evolving track that although in some ways follows traditional trance structures Pablo manages keep the track interesting at all times. A timeless classic !!!!!! 5/5

The year was 1997. I was aimlessly wandering around my local Virgin Megastore. Not much caught my attention, even though I had £20 in my pocket to spend (as an 18 year old still living at home, it was a well earned £20).

I was about to leave the shop, having found nothing of interest when my ears picked up on something playing over the in-store radio. Such a melodic sound! It was like my childhood hero Jean Michel Jarre, but sub-aquatic and with a driving rhythm. I listed to the entire track as it played, just standing still in the middle of the shop.

Then around 3 minutes into the track it happened. The most uplifting melody, the most beautiful breakdown! I was in love. The tune finished, and the girl on the in-store radio announced it was a track taken from the new Reactivate compilation, number 12.

I picked it up without any hesitation and bought it.

My love for trance continues to this day.
