Detroit House at its finest that unfortunately, somehow, never reached prominence as it probably should have. Geared for parties for sure, this early-mid 90's tempo number was part of a very generous lot of obscure (read sparsely distributed or exclusive to certain DJ pools) cultural artifacts from the D.E.T. Obtained from the private collections of two founding pioneers in I/EDM, it's one of many hella rare titles I'm extremely lucky to own. To add to the intrigue, writ on the original cellophane with a black marker is:

"This artist and track will appear on the 'Detroit Underground' compilation EP released sometime on Tango Recordings"

-Alas, it just wasn't in the cards. A quick search will show that, maybe while there were well-intentioned plans set in motion for a compilation, the project never came to fruition for whatever reason. And it's a shame too, because if it had, the demand to make the track available, and to deliver, surely would have launched "I Wanna Play With You" to some level of notability.

There was some other info written on the flipside (possibly the same thing), but unfortunately it's indiscernible.

To add to this cool nugget, the Treehouse Mix was referenced as the "Most danceable version."

Pics illustrating this to follow...
