Let's face it: PONY SLAYSTATION is great title. And to boot, the album itself is pretty good too. Pantytec break out the strange grooves right away with the flanged and abstracted "Micromission" and goes deep with the thick bass of "Doubledip Uuh." But the distorted voices and creepy feeling that permeates "Quattroporte" shows how Pantytec operate on a different sonic level of house than many of their counterparts. For one, there are plenty of voices on the album, but no identifiable words: the language is chopped and reformed into pure texture (uh, not that you should count the Spanish lyrics of "Supratahiti," though, or the word 'pink' in "Pink"). "Into The Duster" almost lulls one into a trance, while "Valentine (Pokémonopa Mix)" has some rock-solid beats to ground the strangeness happening above. All very weird and wonderful.
