Possibly my favorite Carl Craig track of all time. I lose myself every time I hear it! Just superb!

Nice track, if you like this you should check the track Steam Away from the Flying LIzards' Fourth Wall album:

In fact check the whole album, it's a corker...

This is undoubtedly the more sort after version of "Steam", with the only real difference to the original being the addition of the whispered male vocal ("you've gotta let off steam"). This is the version Carl Craig himself plays most often. I met Carl Craig once and we chatted about this record, he told me he didn't realise he had even released it! (although he was on a few glasses of red wine at the time).. Very hard to track down and well worth it if you can get a copy.

I have two different copies of the one-sided 12". However, the track Steam is the same on both. One copy is stamped with Planet E logo and the other is a plain white label with manually written "Paperclip People - Steam" on it also the Etching in the vinyl is slightly different (e.g. has a RE (for Reissue?) after the catalogue number)

As far as I was aware, this record had never been released, or at least if it has been released it must have been in very small numbers. It is a very unique record, with clever use of a genuine acoustic drum sound, and also has a rift during a verse which is basically carl craig jamming on a keyboard - it sounds amazing. one of the Planet E highlights.
