Life Force is a beast! ! ! ! ! !

Late 1990s deep dubby and tech-house seem to have been flavors of choice for diggers for a while now, hence the 2nd hand prices of labels like Mosaic, Svek or Driftwood climbing up the ceiling, and back-catalogue from artists like Mr G or even Pure Science now quite sought-after, after being unconsidered for years. I guess it's all a matter of cycles, and the inner qualities of these productions (drive, trippy factor and, yes, sensuality) make sense to today's highly trained young and older ears.
Well in that context, a track like "Beautiful World" qualifies for a nice synthesis of aforementioned genres and styles, blending the wandering cosmic qualities of a dubby structure and nicely mysterious 4-notes keyboard lullaby, with quite slammin', metallic and electronic rhythmic textures and sound-design more related to tech-house.
A high quality 10-minutes voyage indeed, ideally completed by the more stripped-down and slightly sinister "Life Force", which was used in both Richie Hawtin's "DE9" and Dan Bell's "Button Down" classic mix CDs.
