Pathetic pressing by RTI. Seriously guys, don’t shove silver sticker trumpeting you’re product when it’s crap. SQ is fine, but the vinyl is cheap, noisy and dirty.

Bakithi Kumalo really shines on this pressing. The bottom end is rich and full. Easily one of the best sounding records in my collection.

This is a fantastic sounding pressing, at least the equal of an original, if not better.

The album was very well recorded at some of the best studios in the world at the time - dynamics are great; the music rises and falls with amazing control, with deep bass and defined top range. Best of all, the vinyl is CD-level quiet, but this ALL-ANALOG reissue is THE one to get!

Absolutely incredible! And for $25, it is a steal. I love Paul Simon, and this may be my favorite album of all of his career (including with Garfunkel).
BTW, If someone knows the bass player's phone number, please share, because I want to learn from him!

Went to download it, and the Remixes album showed up.. shame, but I'll just have to get this on CD too! This is an amazing pressing.

Turns out third time’s the charm for me. This is the third pressing I bought a couple weeks ago; the last two (original pressings) had skips galore on otherwise EX discs (I meticulously adjusted my setup several times to no avail). Initially, this one had skips as well, which made me frustrated, so I placed it in a pile I’m planning to sell. Well, I’m glad I didn’t-because I gave it a second listen &, with the exception of one skip that went away after I played it again (what others who have complained about it should do), it played through flawlessly.
“Gumboots” plays a bit rough distortion-wise on my system due to how “out-front” the vox & sax are mixed & the nature of inner grooves, but the real MVPs here are “Under African Skies” &, particularly, “Homeless”. Exceptionally dynamic, clear as a whistle, and no background noise of any kind. Chances are VERY slim that one may find an OG press that sounds as good as this reissue!

This pressing is incredible...pancake flat and completely silent. It’s a treat every time...I could swear I’m in the crowd again. Shut up and buy it.
