So, this isn't an official reissue, but a (dodgy?) CDr copy. Any info on how the quality of this compares to the original 1989 release would be very welcome.

It's very rare I hear an album only 5-10 times and declare it a 5-star album. Actually, I don't think I have ever done that. Usually it takes many years, even decades for an album to worm its way into my consciousness enough for me to rate it that highly. But I just did it with this. Recorded in 1989 in an empty water cistern, 14 feet underground, all of the music on this album is acoustic, using accordian, trombone, voice, chonch shell, didjeridu, garden hose and assorted pieces of metal. This is among the very best true ambient music I have ever heard, on par with Eno's early ambient series. Equally beautiful and mysterious, it exemplifies the true meaning of the word "sublime" in much the same way some of those early Tangerine Dream albums do. It is magnificent.

I cannot understand how it is possible that this wonderful masterpiece has not yet been reissued on Vinyl. One of the best works of the twentieth century

Recorded 14 feet below the ground in a 186 foot diameter cistern that once held 2 million gallons of water. No echoes, but long smooth reverbs of 45 seconds. Drone perfection.

I read about this album on one of those anonymous articles about the origins of ambient but i remember distinctly that's where i read the word "Drones" for the first time. Almost 20 years passed, i love music even more and i listened to a huge amount of drones but this one still remains the best and most iconic drone work.
Please, please, please reissue this! Possibly on a proper 180gr audiophile vinyl :-)
