"This is Manchester united", screamed Eddie Vedder soon before leaving the stage after this pleasing gig. Of the UK part of the 2000 Tour, this one clearly leaves Glasgow, London, or Dublin behind, but still gives an impression of a basic job done well. The first disc brings nothing extraordinary, utilizing the typical grunge'n'roll patterns already established by that time during 2000, save it perhaps for a huge letdown of the medley-less Daughter. Still though, Rearviewmirror keeps on getting better, showing off the band's ability to break their own boundries. The second disc however rewards the waiting, not only with the Ten-era classics like Black or Once, but also the audience-beloved SOLAT, as well as the rarely performed Garden (you can clearly hear Vedder wrestling with this demanding song). Leatherman and Fuckin Up only add to the overall enjoyment, plus the Timeless Melody candy is always welcome.
