Offcourse the a sounds fresh and top, even after years. Untill i recently discovered the b side. It is all about the b side. Deadly slepth over high tech soul killer. Slepth-over, probally cause a first or short listen can fool your ears. But when the magic comes in you know you got a winner..

I now have found this release from many friend suggestion. After 10 years of loyal continuation for UR releases I find not to much interest in it 5 years ago. This release had took me to surprise, it brought back all the old memories i had of UR of when I first heard them and there powerful effect it to had on me. I remember hearing Derrick May play a journey of dragons in Napoli 1996 and the powerful beauty it rang, not again I experience until hearing this true beauty. È bello!

Windchime is the best techno track ever made in my opinion. It sends chills up and down my spine time and time again. The melodies and rhythmic structures are phenomenal, I can't think of a techno which touches me more than this one. Definately a straight A! And a classic for the ages to come.

The B side 'Abandoned building in mono' is a deep intraverted track produced by Perception. For me the A side overshadows this track, but I must say it is a very sensitive track put together with alot of care.

After some disappointing releases (including the 7" series), this instant classic made me find the UR faith I lost. At first sight, the rhythm part is close to Los Hermanos' latin feeling, but pay more attention and you'll find that the harmonic progression is very specific to Mike Banks' Music.

Awesome track (Windchime), very reminiscent of the Galaxy 2Galaxy double pack, with "Mad Mike strings" all over. Overall, a nice example of something that could easily be described as techno-jazz-funk from the headquarters in Detroit. The b-side is a bit more mellow and introspective, almost nostalgic sounding. Techno-blues with jazz and a bit of Mad Mike strings in just the right amount. Tip!!!!
