I'm hoping that since this has been unveiled as a teaser track that means it won't be getting released as a single. Frankly, this is a terrible song. It's a cheesy electronic-country song. PSB have released country tinged songs before, such as You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk. That was tasteful, Happiness is just cheesy in the worst possible way. The vocal melody in particular is terrible. I adore Neil Tennant's voice usually but he doesn't suit the puesdo-American country music vocal style he's adopted here.Away from that I find the song hasn't got a memorable beat either which is a shame because the song is virtually a instrumental apart from two lines that are repeated. I quite like those few lyrics too, it's the only positive thing I have to say about this song. Very disappointing. I wouldn't even put this out as a B-side, let alone have it as the opening track of the album! Thankfully I loved Inner Sanctum and The Pop Kids so I'm not worried about how Super will sound.

The Pet Shop Boys revive a 1995 Dance Country hybrid, reminiscent of Cotton Eyed Joe.
Not liking the EDM vibe that this track emits. Hopefully the rest of the Super album is different than this third released song.
