anyone else wish it was 1996 again?! Man Britain was such an awesome place in the 90s. This is without doubt the best of the MOS Annuals (IMO closely followed by IV). This will still sound awesome in 2030.

I remember hearing the beginning of Boy George's mix being played loud in a Virgin Megastore when this came out. I hated it back then, and I still hate it now - the way he slaughters "Born Slippy", switching into it right in the middle of the vocals, and switching to the next track way too soon. But don't let that fool you - starting with the third track, George's mix turns into a non-stop joyride of uplifting, fast house music with a few extra slices of cheese. Recommended!

Will stands the test of time - 21 years on and I can still listen to it over and over again.

How could I recommend this album enough? For those that don't know yet, this is Ministry Of Sound's best-selling annual ever and is most likely the best-selling DJ mix of all time in the UK, selling 700 000 copies. Both DJs excel themselves here to create, in my opinion, their best mixes ever. Pete explores everything from garage house to trance, and Boy George puts on plenty of 'handbag' house, plus the exceptional Firestarter and Born Slippy, which are mixed together brilliantly. This is a true example to today's consumers of Ministry Of Sound's now garbage collections of how annuals used to be, and how they should be: Classy, well mixed, authentic and with a timeless track selection. Truly essential.
