OK I understand this kind of record is not aimed at myself, I am 100% not the target audience. I haven't enjoyed pop music since I was about 12 years old, and the pop music I do enjoy is usually laced in many threads of nostalgia. However, this album is complete garbage. Growing up at a time when Mr Andre and his wife and all of their mishaps and troubles were strewn across garbage publications and TV shows, I am very familiar with the man even though I have never met him and unlikely ever will. Peter seems to be a nice guy, I will say that - he loves his kids, and tries to be the best father for them. If you ever watch him on TV he always has a very warm and charismatic persona which makes him likable.

For the unaware Peter was known for a very brief amount of fame as your run of the mill, cookie-cutter 90's pop sensation and the laughably cringey track "Mysterious Girl". Peter has been "making" music for as long as I have been alive, maybe even a bit more - so I would expect someone of his caliber to be able to muster up something better than this cheap and tacky production. Considering this record came out in 2009, you'd be mistaken thinking it came out in 1999 or maybe at a push 2002. I can't explain it in words, it just feels dated. The production isn't bad per se, just very bland. Like the audible equivalent to eating water crackers. But aside from lacking production, the lyrics are horrific. Every song is just a miserable, insufferable whinge-fest - and this is coming from a seasoned Emo/Pop Punk fan. All I can think is, shit dude - one learn some subtlety and secondly is there nothing else you want to sing about?

I usually care little for these releases, glossing over them as they blend into the bland scenery of generic pop of the time - I think I'm so annoyed as I have had a good day of working through a crate of releases, finding some good stuff, and then discovering this trash. Palate cleanser please!
