After the mighty onslaught of NEKROPOLIS 2 we are confronted with this smaller offering from Peter. For this recording, he has decided to let his basses cool-off, and concentrate on the synthesizer. Eisenkraut is an interweaving mesh of synth, sequencer and intricate arpeggios, with Stephan Manus supplying a sombre violin introduction. This is music for the mind, music to drain away the tension of everyday existence, bliss! Hypnos II (what happened to No. 1?) is purely synth and sequencer, a more mechanical and cyclic affair. The effect is as the title implies - hypnotic, dreamlike, heavenly, with a timeless-like quality that one can get lost in.The only problem with this album is that it's currently out of print, and Peter hasn't got any plans for a re-press. This is a great shame as I imagine there's lots of people who'd really love it. My only suggestion is to write to him, even better pester him to get it pressed again!

p.s. he never repressed, so 28 years on this is now one of the rarest of his releases!
