The original is solid but Morales and Satoshi take it to the next level. Bargain!

Fantastic! For me... two heavyweights collaborate, Photek and Robert Owens to produce 'Mine To Give'. Photek's background may be jungle, d&b but he's an extremely talented producer and pioneer... check 'Rings Around Saturn' which even now in 2017 is a seminal slice of gold.

Robert Owens needs no introduction as he's been there and done that vocally when it comes to house music.

Mine To Give is a dark, moody, house classic. It will fit into any set, tech, progressive, vocal, old skool (I mix it with Moloko's 'Sing It Back'). Great beat, pads, heavy synth and powerful vocals. A1 house for sure which didn't really get a huge amount of credit and exposure at release time. Easy to mix with intro and outro beats, classy breakdown and brings a touch of silk to any set for my money.

Many years ago (2000) I was bumping in the London club Fabric... this sent the place wild.

Own it, nice picture cover sleeve too!

When Photek went house, he went house in a big way. MINE TO GIVE was a hit, and these mixes, from David Morales and Satoshi Tomiie, only cemented this. Morales keeps things on the darkside of his "World Mix," but his "Happy Mix" takes out the darkness for some joyous clubbing. Satoshi Tomiie's similarly pulls out club bangers. The difference between the various mixes is minimal; any one of them could fill a floor, but it's David Morales' "Bonus Mix" which is the most interesting, adding a dub techno effect that helps distinguish it somewhat. But take your pick, you can't go wrong.

Yeah... there is no doubt. To be sincere i do not like Photek releases just because drum & bass is not my style, but, talking about house, these remixes by David Morales & Satoshi Tomiie... Wow!!! They´re so deeep, darkness, hypnotic...\0/\0/\0/ They can be playing for centuries ahead!!!

Man, what a huge hit this was. I didn't know Photek was capable of making a house record. Granted, this was HIS kind of house - progressive, techy, a tad dirty, but uplifting still thanks to Robert's classy vocals. Satoshi was digging deep into his viral progressive mode on his mixes - passable, dut they don't do much for me. Here, Mr. Morales delivers a potent set of rubs. Whether you want a straight dark-garage house treatment with the Happy Mix, or perhaps the more progressive (damn, I've used that word a lot here) style of his dubs and the World Mix that stays the closest to the Original Vibe, he showed that his creative juices are indeed still flowing. For an ideal representative of 21st-century house, this is it.

David Morales’s World Mix is great, a really moody track with a pounding ride cymbal that lends the vocals a sort of desperate undercurrent. His “Happy” and “Facedown” mixes, on the other hand, are bland, and I couldn’t imagine playing them live. The Satoshi Tomiie mix is nice and dark; it appeared on Digweed’s GU Los Angeles. Overall, this release is well worth the cash for the two good mixes.
