Another complete GZ Vinyl fail. The volume between the individual tracks differs drastically throughout the whole playing area. Tracks that are supposed to be mixed into one another seamlessly are radically cut off plus all of what Hachou wrote. Top that off with the ultimate facepalm "THE IS BEAUTIFUL, THIS IS ART." etching (better yet typeset aka poor man's etching) and you have another prime example why nobody should even consider working with GZ Vinyl. In all fairness though, the cover and printed inner sleeve are well-made/printed. If GZ could match the quality of their records with that of the packaging...
With that being said, the music on this album is great, Side A being a whirlwind of short Grind attacks and the somewhat "mellower" material on the B-Side, a concept the band has followed on their subsequent albums. Pig Destroyer is a band that has become better and better with each album they put out and they really nailed their style on this album, so the fact that the vinyl does in no way live up to the quality of the music is very unfortunate.

I am a bit disappointed by this record. The LP mastering isn't good as the CD version, it's too bad to release a LP version with a poor mastering. Furthermore the tracks are mixed each other on the CD version, here the cut between Face A and B is missed.

So... I love Pig Destroyer, Prowler In The Yard is surely one of my favorite grindcore album. I bought the LP, because i'm a fan and perhaps a nerd, but for me this release is not very good. If you got the choice, choose the CD version which is better. Relapse needs probably some money...
