Yet another great 2016 release for Pink Floyd. One of their more unconventional albums. I really feel like they could have included the lyrics somehow though. Its a gatefold yet one sleeve is closed. Waste of possible space. Even though its mostly great I would agree like others that this might have fared the worst out of all the 2016 reissues. There are some pops that are incredibly loud and distracting. And the surface noise is there if you really listen for it. All in all its a more fun album than lets say Animals, but it has the most technical issues out off all the reissues, not to mention the extremely fat spine text that looks awful.

A bit more noticeable in the pops/ticks/surface noise department mostly because some parts of the record are so damn quiet it's impossible to not hear some surface noise. 2 or 3 loud pops on mine which wouldn't normally be a big deal but the rest of these reissues have been such top notch quality, it's pretty noticeable. Still a phenomenal sounding remaster!

Haters beware!! My copy is fantastic!!! All of the Floyd reissues I have are amazing. The album itself? An joyous masterpiece, a stepping stone to the iconic work that would come. They made an album that was not quite there, but at the same time way ahead of its time.

glossy gatefold cover - made with thin paper. hate the spine font. inside photo very, very dark with new text inside about pink floyd recordings. side b has inner track noise (vg+); noisier than side a for me. vinyl a tad warped. had to bore out the center hole. the sound overall could have been quieter - an example would be listen to how quiet Wilco - Schmilco is comparatively. "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" has a couple artifacts that annoy. My original copy is trashed. I'm happy to replace with this re-issue, remaster but I was hoping it would've been better SQ-wise.
