Looking at the comments I wonder ( not really ) is this all about sound & affordability,i.e. not ( too ) epensive ( not affordable for most of mortals ), or is it ( at least for some ) a question of having 1st mono pressing ( VERY EXPENSIVE / NOT AFFORDABLE ).
Loving music or being elitist ?

This reissue makes me very happy. Finally an affordable quality MONO reissue of this legendary album.

I have this repressing. Its clean, quiet and flat. Interesting to listen to the album in mono after only ever having heard it in stereo. I also have the recent stereo remaster and an old 1970s twofer 'A Nice Pair'. The analogue sound of the latter is sonically superior to both the remasters by some distance and since nice copies can be picked up for £20 if you are going to buy only one I'd pick up one of those. Still like to listen to an original mono (and stereo for that matter!) copy one day though!

Picked up today on a local store in my town just for 28€! The sound is amazing, better than the stereo mix by far. 100% recommended.

A nice remaster. Hearing things that I've never heard before and I've listened to this record a lot. Nice packaging posters are always welcome.

I dig the packaging. The pressing is great - no noise or distortion. But unlike most others here, I really don't like the remastering. Maybe I'm just to accustomed with the stereo mix - which I really, really like! This mastering just makes the music sound weirdly distant, dull and flat. Not warm, full, present etc. I love this album, but listening to this mono version just left me cold. If I had listened to this version first, I probably wouldn't have picked up the record again.
There's also a nasty sibbilance - especially on side 2.
Compared with the The Beatles mono remasters, this is just a disappointment.
