Impeccable remaster/reissue. I cut my teeth on this album when I was 16 back in 1980. This reissue is very close to the original in all respects. Fine packaging in particular is a virtual 1:1 replica. Highly recommended.

Perfect Remaster! Quiet background and all instruments are clear. Don’t pass this one up!

Grundman cut has BG in deadwax and the Sax cut has TML in deadwax

Packaging I give an A+. Awesome to have a new replica of the original. Opening it all up the 1st almost felt like I was someone opening it for the 1st time in '75. The actual record sounds really good. My copy doesnt sound as clean as my other remastered Floyds, but the occasional pop every now again doesnt bother me. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone. Hearing it with a surround set up is quite the experience.

FWIW, my copy, purchased at Amoeba a couple of weeks ago, is excellent quality. Extremely quiet background, no distortion or surface noise. Same quality as the new DSOTM PFR reissue.

I've tried two copies of this and both had serious levels of surface noise and static. I've tested before and after a thorough professional cleaning with my Hannl RCM and it made little difference-- meaning likely the stampers were soiled but used anyway, or the presser went way beyond the recommended 1000 pressings per set of stampers. Either way, these copies sounded like they were old worn over-played copies from the '70's. Very disappointing but not surprising.

Bought knowing that this version is hit or miss as far as quality. Mine unfortunately was a miss. Sounds ok but whoever was responsible for pressing it should be fired. It was dirty, scratched and warped. Sounds ok despite the surface noise which may be attributed to the poor condition it arrived in. Bought new and sealed. Obvious lack of quality control.

The sticker states remastered from the original analogue tapes - Guthrie, plante, and grundman.

So, Im very confused.. is this the one by Sax or Grundman??? The sticker on the US 2016 version states remastered by Grundman yet i keep hearing people saying all the 2016 US versions are by Sax. PLEASE CLARIFY.. thanks
