Great release. Heavy LP, thick sleeves & dead quiet record.
This pressing sounds amazing to me even though Pixies have never been a 'hi-fi' band in the 1st place.

This isn't my favorite Pixies record, but there are some good tunes on here! I like "Velouria" and "The Happening" the best, probably. Probably not the best place to start if you're just getting into the band, but it's worth getting to eventually.

I have the 2008 4AD vinyl pressing. The record is obviously good quality; it weighs a ton! (Something like 180 grams, I would guess) Everything sounded good, quite crisp and clear. Every once in a while it sounds like the vocals are being drowned out, but I think that's how the songs were produced and doesn't have anything to do with the pressing quality. The sleeve is nice and solid, and as a bonus, the printed inner sleeve is heavyweight and great quality.
