“Dying”, also heard on the Positively Elizabeth Street Citadel comp, is alright in a certain metallic jungle beat kind of way, but “I Don’t Mind” is the one that can really fry the noodles and serve them hot: tough yet melodic, with that slight tinge of despair in the vocal delivery that makes for the best punk-rock, and an awesome chorus to boot. This single was produced by Rob Younger, and released on Citadel’s offshoot label Green Fez. The Plunderers’ line-up at the time included the late Stevie Plunder, Pete Pillage, and Nic Off, a.k.a. Nic Dalton, later to join the Lemonheads and launch Half A Cow Records. A really neat little piece of 1980s Australian rock n’roll!
