In the early 70s, Jean-Michel Jarre used the pseudonym "Pop Corn Orchestra" and recorded a nice and catchy version of the instrumental "Pop Corn". The tune "Black Bird" is softer and an organ was used on the recording. The organ sound is fantastic.

The inspiration for "Black Bird" was the previously released composition "Bridge Of Promises" from the album "Deserted Palace".

'Blackbird' is ill moog / organ funk rock that sounds like DJ Shadow has or should have sampled it...

Jammie Jefferson was the seudonym used by Jean Michel Jarre in this single released in 1972 under The Disques Motors label. Jarre (aka Jefferson) played Moog synthesizer in both tracks, unknowing who played rest of instruments, drums and bass guitar. "Pop Corn" on the first side is a nice cover from Gershon Kingsley original theme while on the flip one there is an obscure theme called "Blackbird".

Both tracks will be released many years later at "Rarities 2" bootleg CD.

It's a must for collectors.
