"Condition" is as relentlessly driving as any of the other in-your-face music that the DOWNWARDS stable create. The sound itself - chittering electronic scales falling from the medium-fast Rave body - patters along in a compulsive way which silently screams "Dance! Resistance Is Useless!" It's basic, you can't argue with that, but it's also got a way of hooking into you. "Reduction" bursts forth again, a collection of ultra-simple individual elements forged together to create a complex cat's cradle of pulsating, warping electronica. "Shift Worker" again goes for simplistic phrases repeated again & again, ad infinitum. A central bubbling bassline and kick drumhold the track together while a splinter of noise blips like some life support monitor showing the patient to still be in the land of the living. It unfolds like some flower on a bright summer morning - almost imperceptable in it's langour.
