This is my second version of this album but first version of this pressing. The original copy was the 45 version and sounded terrible - all scratches and pops. This pressing is clear and smooth, very little surface noise and it plays at 33

No issues with my copy. Excellent pressing IMO. Highly recommended!

Shoddy pressings run rampant irrespective of music genre. Having this title on CD for ages I was intrigued to go one better. I sprang for this European issue heeding comments on discogs and warnings of subpar pressings. The 2017 release totally lived up to billing, was worth the extra cost, and oh yes--it spun at 33 rpm not 45 rpm as printed on label. Thanks for the good information.

How does the Small song sound? My LP contains a repetitive loud crack in this song. It's not the Portished sound, I think...

I'd not heard the album before, so it wasn't until I was two thirds into the first track that I released it wasn't meant to be 45rpm. Fuck sake. Labels are there for a reason, not just an aesthetic gimmick!

Awesome pressing, no surface noise, lots of details in every song, especially loved Magic Doors

Very nice pressing. Clean, flat and rich in sonic details. Had to get rid of a little dust right out of the package, but nothing a simple dry cleaning couldn't resolve.

It's also of notice that the labels state 45rpm, but it plays indeed in 33 1/3.
