All three pink/violet Prince pressings sound absolutely flawless and awesome. I know, MPO isn't that famous when it comes to pressing quality, but this time they nailed it!

I got this one yesterday and it sounds awesome! Beautifully pressed album, I got nothing to complain about. Finally I have this album, it's one of my favourites from Prince's catalogue.

My vinyl copy of this has the wrong sticker, but sounds absolutely sensational! I was skeptical, but it really is beautifully pressed. Nice and quiet, with good high ends, no sibilance, and lots of bottom in the bass... I'm finally able to enjoy this album properly - the original CD was brickwalled to hell... this sounds wonderful. Very impressed and hoping all future reissues of Prince's work will be produced to such a high level of quality.

Update: I have now heard 4 copies of this album and every single one of them had something wrong with it. All 4 were bought from different retailers. 3 copies had dreadful non-fill across side 1 and 1 copy had no non-fill but side 2 of the first disc was off-centre. Based on other comments I can see there are good copies of it out there but I am yet to find a copy of this album, which does not have this awful paper scraping/non-fll noise running across parts of side 1. Really frustrating when these records cost £30+ in the UK. I do not understand how QC can be so poor-perhaps the ones I am (unluckily) buying are from the end of the run in which case the stampers must have been knackered. Bugged out because I love this album.

Crunch and crackle all over the place. Are MPO trying to compete with GZ for the "lack of QC" award? And who was asking for it on purple vinyl? Why can't they press records properly on black vinyl, flat and without non-fill? They even stuck the wrong sticker on my copy (this album has Musicology on it, apparently). My bootleg copy from 2006 sounds better.
