I have a copy of Fortress and Scurrilous 2015 splatter vinyl "self-releases". Both discs are slightly warped. On my rather forgiving system (KAB tonearm damper, 150MLX cart) the warps don't affect playback, except in between songs (a slight flicking noise). Not much surface noise on Fortress, but Scurrilous does have a little bit. YMMV depending on your system..
With regards to the SQ, there is a definite improvement in dynamics here from the CD; more treble extension and less "boxy" and compressed.
But on both gatefold covers there are no song titles, lyrics or band info printed anywhere. Huh? Why? You guys could've supplied us with pens so we could write the names on the back at least ;)
