The A side is a crawling, industrial number with broken beats and painted over with rusty and screeching sequences, which act as melodies (of some sort), but don't even remotely come across as anything you ever labelled a melody before. Sharp and high pitched sounds are dropped every once in a while to complete this disturbing acoustic mayhem.
No Go picks up the pace, and to me the percussion here is arranged as though it was made for a rock 'n' roll garage session. As in the previous track, a demented yet very catchy hook pulls and paves its way throughout the track with outbursts of electricity leaking out every once in a while.
At the time of releasing this, Karl O'Connor was mainly associated with vintage, ferocious and monotonous breed of Birmingham techno, so this is a unique peek at the other side of the coin if you are curious to check out what this man was all about when he wasn't busy forging plans on drilling your cerebrum with some of the finest and most devastating techno music I have ever heard!
