Notes

2002 reissue pressed by kdg-NL. A near-identical release with the CD manufactured by Sound Performance is:
Freaks. Ten Stories About Power, Claustrophobia, Suffocation And Holding Hands.

Issued in a standard jewel case along with an outer card slipcase.

A sticker on the slipcase reads:
Pulp. On "Freaks", Pulp emerged as eccentric purveyors of weird and wonderful pop music, lurching between blackly humorous, lush ballads and paranoid horror-show narratives. "Delve into Pulp's voluminous back catalogue and the fact swiftly emerges, that they were actually just as good when nobody liked them... and maybe even better." "Freaks"

Track durations are not shown on the release.

Recorded and mixed at Input Studio, Sheffield during one week in June 1986.

Sleevenotes: Now listen; these freaks we're talking about, they're just normal people gone a bit wrong, that's all. Something happened to them and they never got over it. Now they walk around in a daze with twisted innards and blank faces, wanting to join in but too scared to make the jump. It's sad but don't bother crying; they still eat and drink and watch T.V. just like anyone else. And they smoke.
