really, why did a 10" stamper get made for a 10", when the original record never came out on a 10"?

On my copy which originally came with a release sheet (although long lost); it read that the AA Remix is by Lawrie Immersion.

I just love the 32 bars where there is no kick drum. - the breakdown. Brilliant! 100 times better than the sludge people are banging out 15 years on....

If there was ever an acid techno anthem that deserved a marble shrine and a cult following that worships aliens - it's EGO ACID. This track is quite simply a work of genius at layering bassline over bassline for a crescendo that delivers like an atom bomb. You can tell why it took 3 guys to produce this record, because you'd need 6 hands to cover the mammoth amount of knob twiddling executed here.

Truly, this is one of Damon, Tim and Dan's finest ever moments and inspired the very similar sounding remix they produced of New Order's "Confusion" which featured on the soundtrack of Blade. Their version was subsequently ripped in 2 commercial cover versions released by the Warp Brothers and Public Domain - both of which made it to the UK Top 10 - such is the POWER of Pump Panel's basslines.

More power than you can possibly imagine? Indeed.

The Flotation Mix is just a superb journey through 303/909 heaven with squelches and squeals bombarding your head. Added to this is the pleasant dreamy vibe added by the blippy riff that winds its way up your spine - then squeezes...

This record was an underground bomb that went off (in a good way) throughout all of 1995-96. In Los Angeles, of all places, is where I really remember this record being beaten to death. Played strongly by the likes of Richard Humpty Vission and Tony B!, LA's biggest names at the time. The track that was played most by most dj's at the time was, The Re-Pump, which is my personal favorite btw. It starts off with a nice slow start with just the rhythm and beat and then about a minute afterwards it just goes off. I would say overall both tracks are more than just acid, both tracks offer good strong techno and trance to fulfill any dj's styling pleasure, a classic in my eyes.

Another "classic" acid track, featuring the TB-303 and TR-909. A very pleasant acid bass line that opens the record and follows it through to the end with the usual cutoff swell for this type of song. The kick drum opens the song along with the bass line, with a "watch out for what is comming" pattern and rises to pure acid techno bliss.

A nice track IMHO!
