Just arrived today, been hoping to god that one day someone would put out this version of Champion Sound. It's a very good reproduction although the amen doesn't quite have the same punch as the original and it's been pressed way to fast. I appreciate this was the bpm taken from the original sets it appeared in, but those Dj's would have been playing their tunes at +6 if not even +8. But all in all it's an excellent job. Top quality vinyl pressing from SubLogic as per usual, excellent sound quality. Snap them up before they disappear, because they surely will!

As far as I know the 'Champion Sound Remix' was recreated very authentically from a mixtape, and as no dubplate could be referenced from the artist involved in remaking it kept the BPM consistent to the speed of the mixtape source. The fact that this ever got pressed at all is a blessing. The beauty of it is at least you can pitch the record down to suit older jungle tracks.

Is it just me, or does the Champion Sound pressing sound pitched up? Was the track actually this fast? Not mixable with my other oldskool jungle records...It's mixable with some pitched up DnB....??
