Dj Gidi (Hovek Olam Project) from Israel is known for his dj sets all over the world. He has compiled a couple of CD’s, but here he has made his own music with a solo project called Quantum. Here we get a taste of his album called Outrage, on Brand New Entertainment.

First out on this CD single is the original version of the track Flangerized. This track is also on the Outrage album. A surprisingly strong, psychedelic track, with a very drifting vibe. Strong, rolling bassline and some really weird, psychedelic soundscapes. Melodic and mystic, without becoming cheesy.

Track 2 is a remix of the Flangerized track done by Fatali (Eitan Carmi). Fatali has allready got a good reputation for his melodic full on morning trance. He adds some more light melodies to the track, but I prefer the original. This version is not on the album.

The last track on this CD single is a track called Chop. This one is not on the album either. This is a darker track, with a really strong, heavy rolling bassline. Psychedelic sounds jumps around in the track. It is very drifting, and personally I think this is the best track on this CD single! It will for sure be appriciated on the dance floors.

This CD single is a pretty nice taste of his first album. The sound is a bit different from most of the other Isaelitrance coming out these days, and I like that.

Even if it’s not revolutionnary sound speaking, i’m quite fan of this unpolish dark flavoured & slighlty psychedelic sound with catching & funny melody for me in Flangerized. Which is after all is not that much usual from israelian artist (it reminds me a bit of Dogma).

I’m less addicted to the morning full on remix from Fatali, the thing results more common isreali psytrance stuff after this new treatment with squeaking sounds & looses all his few attractiveness.

Chop is something like the original version of Flangerized, in a chunkiest way i would say but as good as track 1 and even better as its partucularity is to be based on tyres 's screeching sounds.

It’s definitively in original way i’m enjoying best Quantum (aka Dj Gidi/Hovek Olam project).

I add a mention to the cover artwork.

ps:Flangerized also appears on his debut album Outrage, the 2 other tracks are unreleased ones.
