I have recently had 3x copies of this (2x from Amazon UK, 1x from Fopp in Covent Garden) - all three have a few repeating clicks at the beginning of B1. Close inspection of all 3 under an LED light show 2x small scratches a millimetre or so apart on all 3 - Matrix info is - Side A: BF83622-01 A1 4720279 MILES ABBEY ROAD 1/2 SPEED, Side B: BF83622-0Ʌ B2 4720279 MILES ABBEY ROAD 1/2 SPEED - Beware!

On first listening impressions I do have to say that Im not too impressed. I have not heard earlier presses so I cant compare but I think Bob Ludwig or the people at gateway masterings could have done a better job here. There is a big lack of presence in the music and it feels like it really needs a face lift on a lot of tracks. You have to really crank the volume to get any effect. Which might have been what they were going for. But Im not too sure. I would suggest to try an earlier press in good condition over this.

Edit: I might have miss judged. As I mentioned you really need to crank the volume to increase the engagement of the music. And I think they actually did a good job masking the digital side with a balanced low and high end here. I would still be interested in comparing with an original but my initial reaction might have been overly negative. I play it louder than most records I own and I still think there is a lack of staging and sound separation on some tracks, but its a good purchase if you want something newly released. The pressing is otherwise quiet for being played so loudly and few pops or crackles.
