I love this album, great beats and melodies and rhythms still sounds fresh today.

Mesmerizing chunky tunes with spooky carpet ride melodies and sampled break fuckery. The artwork is funny as it conveys the industrial efficient soul deprived designs of everyday plastic utility items. This one being a baby change station. I was one of the kooks who opened the paper sleeve to try to read the liner notes. Skam classical.

quinoline yellow, perfect in design, aspects never dissapoint! each of his works for me is always laced with at least one essential left field techno piece that helps define/broaden/further the place it takes place in..and in this case it's Spion Kop. some may hear this and be but taken to slight comfort and some find an amazement of no small proportion. this tune is completely brilliant, moving, dialed in...working with pure arcane magic here applied to circuits and sound. utterly dreamlike and perfectly captured, this is what all artists should strive to create~

I was never sure what speed this was supposed to be played at (45 or 33 & 1/3, so I'd just use either speed depending on my mood. It sounds great at both! True story.

Along with Bola’s “Gnayse”, Quinoline Yellow’s “Dol-Goy Assist” sees Skam back in fine form. After two fantastic EP’s and tracks on the Smak compilation, the album finally hits. What you get is what you would expect: Crunchy beats, electro rhythms and his trademark ghostly melodies. Maybe the tracks have a sameness to them, but unlike Autechre, he hasn’t forgotten how to make great melodies. The opening cuts “Sealed”, “Amica” and the closing track “Spion Kop” being the standout tracks. Overall, a good but not brilliant album that should see him get the recognition he deserves. I look forward to his next release. 4/5
