For STRUCTURES, their final EP together, RAC continue their electro-tech goodness. The grooves here are solid and varied, from the deep and dark of "TunnelTalk" to the more Detroitian "On the Verge." After his work with RAC, Chris Duckenfield would go on to co-found Swag, so there's no surprise that there's a sharp rhythmic sensibility at work here: "Freckle" goes into some breaks, while "Instinct" goes into a frenzy. "Return to Rio" has a trill that I suppose one could hear as Brazilian, if the beats weren't enough to convince you. And although the tracks don't develop quite as much as I'd like, "Scuba" ends the EP on an submersible journey, swimming through the fishes. Nice.
