RTI really screwed this pressing up.

I agree with all the previous comments. The mastering is great but I've had three copies from Amazon and they all looked like they'd been used as beer coasters.
Lots of Snap Crackle and Pop even after multiple wet washes. But I can hear the dynamics under the noise.

Makes me wonder about the future of RTI pressings.

Noisy pressing even after a couple cleanings. Sounds dynamic though if you can get your ears from ignoring all the noise.

sounds great! A few surface noises. Not bad...dynamics wide, soundstage deep and wide...my system seems to pick up many of the nuances. Rich, deep, a real joy. CRAFT does a pretty good job. I say let's encourage them to continue (and improve) their good work. I saw REM about '82...maybe 83, at the univ of Illinois' Huff Gym...about 75-100 people in attendance milling around the gym floor.

Flat with a great sound, but a few pops although not enough to irritate me. Packaging is solid too. I would recommend this pressing.

It took me three times to get a copy that wasn't filthy and scuffed to hell out of the shrink! But the third time was a charm (after a good wash). Sounds great.

Wasn't as impressed as I wanted to be. TBH, it sounds flat, maybe it's nostalgia expecting more but this copy doesn't bring it to life. I would not have guessed it was remastered.

Not the cleanest pressing, a bit of static and a pop here or there, but nowhere near as bad as I'd been led to believe it would be by Discogs. Definitely pick this up if you want a pressing of this masterpiece.

Speaking for my copy, perfectly flat, perfectly clean, not a tick or pop to be heard. Dynamics are fully there, a great reissue. Based on this I'd highly suggsst buying it if you are on the fence.

Picked up a copy today, clean and quiet throughout, sounds great! As with any pressing, I'm sure there are some bad copies out there, but that wasn't my experience at all. Really happy with this one.
