Notes

Case bound album, inspired by the albums for 78rpm shellac records in the library of La Fabrique, France
32 pages of artwork
The 11 track album on two heavyweight 12" vinyl records
Two compact discs: one with the album and one with two extra tracks
Recording tape belly band applied *

* This is a piece of a Radiohead ½ inch master tape from an actual recording session.
The tape degrades over time and becomes unplayable. We thought rather than it ending up as landfill we would cut it up and make it useful as a part of the special edition. A new life for some obsolete technology...
Each loop contains about ¾ of a second of audio - which could be from any era in the band's recording past going back to Kid A.

I got mine direct from waste too and it's spot on. An absolute beaut of a record.

Pre ordered my pressing from waste. Plays great. Sounds like they’re in my living room.

Don't worry it is an excellent pressing, it plays correctly and the vinyls, yes are covered in record plant dust, so do need a small wipe of nothing offensive. It is also not boomy as may appear to some, the bass was applied for effect in some parts by NG. If you think its boomy, you simply have digital ear. Pity as you will never know the true sound of music due to he missing information in what you listen to.

Oh bollocks! I've just purchased this on ebay for what I thought was a good price. Haven't received it yet but having just read all your reviews I'm beginning to think I may have made a mistake. I wouldn't have expected low quality output from them. I'll let you know...

Ok. I own the Flac and this limited edition vinyl. The vinyl was terrible, sounded boomy, blurry, muffled. Zero clarity. And it is obviously not the production because the digital album sounds perfect. I used the spin clean as suggested and still not right. I checked here later for the reviews and one post mentioned they had to clean it 4 or 5 times before the pressing came alive.

I felt I had nothing to lose and mounted this bad boy on to a drill and spin cleaned the bananas out of it. I played it and it sounded marginally better but not great, however, after inspecting the stylus after a full play, there was a crazy amount of gunk on it, almost like a resin. I would play, wash, play, wash and no joke, this thing came to life. The aggressive spin clean must have loosened this goop just enough that the stylus finally dug it all out. It’s Sad that this terrific album was released like this and all its potential buried under a layer crud.

It´s a pitty and quite annoying, the pressing is really the lowest possible quality..pops and crackles on all four sides.
How can someone create such a beauty album and put such rubbish vinyl into it??

I received my first and only copy in September of 2016 as ordered from Radiohead's official WASTE site. No imperfections in sleeve or packaging, and vinyl plays clearly and without skips or pops every time through. CD's are perfect, the bonus songs are certainly worth having, as is the rest of book which is simply beautiful and full of marvelous artwork. However, my one complaint is that the green sleeve pages expose the the inner 3 or so inches of vinyl. I find this to be problematic in protecting the discs, it should have been designed better. All in all I am sincerely pleased with this release, and it is one of my favorites in my collection.

Deluxe edition is a total garbage pressing. RH and WASTE should be embarrassed. I've had 3 of these pressings and they are all terrible. Stay away like the plague. The worst pressed record I've experienced in 40 years of collecting records. They look (hand and finger prints, scratches throughout, bubbles all over, matrix patters on all of 2 sides, etc etc). And, they sound terrible too (compressed, distorted, and in direct comparison to other RH releases this deluxe version sounds HORRIBLE). Not a good way to treat their fans. Shame on WASTE!

Onto my 3rd set of replacement vinyls now for my deluxe set (4th in all). Still skips loads on Decks Dark. Anyone else had issues with skipping??

Received my first copy from waste with a completely crinkled up book and vinyl that plays with the most distortion I have ever heard on a new vinyl.
They sent me a replacement. Book was fine but second copy of the record was even worse. They didn't even bother to check it before sending to me. This was a month ago. Now they just stopped replying to my emails. Nice to see this is how they treat customers who have been loyal for years. So to all you people speculating if they fixed the pressing issues, the answer is no. Just another record label who doesn't give a crap about their customers or the quality of music.
I will definitely never buy any of their overpriced boxes again!
