Notes
500 copies of this first edition were reportedly pressed.
"Test Pressing" is printed on "Side 2" label.
Neither the artists' names nor the track title appear on the labels.
On some copies, the labels were erroneously affixed to the opposite side of the audio.
This version can be differentiated from the two standard vinyl subsequent 45 RPM editions by the runout groove etchings and by the a 2.8" pressing ring that encircles the labels.
There is also another reissue version with similar runout groove etchings that plays at 33 ⅓ RPM.

The $126K one was "touched by Basquiat", makes all the difference apparently!? 😉https://nostalgiaking.com/2020/09/17/why-your-rammellzee-vs-k-rob-is-not-worth-100k/?fbclid=IwAR1Z_ay1oLwBkVAnC-aGm1ibHOjkWG-ibuYG5lsksxgjdmOF7UzqnGtRwjc

This album just sold for $126,000, sealed, at auction at Sotheby’s. All of a sudden this $5000 asking price seems like a bargain…

Hi there, quick one: is it on purpose that the etching are noted as reversed, i.e.: etching B-E-1 onside A? Is this a proof of an authentic 1983 version?
Thanks (in case I find an original at a price I can afford one day...)

People, the Tartown label was a brilliant one off idea for a label name by J. Basquiat who funded the record and pressing. The label did not exist after the first pressing of this record. Later Tartown pressing are unquestionably unofficial fakes. That's why they attempt to look identical. Go for the Get on down pressing which is official, has good retro cover art, and will have the best sound since originals are $$$. RIP Rammellzee and Jean-Michael Basquiat.
