Some might remember Mr. Carmen for his solo hits ("All By Myself", "Hungry Eyes", "Change Of Heart", etc), but what a few people - including the more recent fans - don't know that before he was writing love songs, he was originally in a rockin power pop band.

What really makes this an oddity is the liner notes on the cover and sleeve. These notes are a complete history of the band!

It starts off with their biggest hit, "Go All The Way", which many call the greatest power pop song of all time. Some might recognize this song, as it was used in the recent blockbuster film "Guardians Of The Galaxy".

Following it are three songs that are just as good - the last of the three, "I Wanna Be With You", being my personal favorite Raspberries song.

Side A of the album ends with "I Can Remember", an 8 minute epic. The song starts off as a lovely ballad and then turns into a hard rocking song with some classical music influences.

Side B begins with "Overnight Sensation", which is a bit more of an arena rock track with some influence from The Who.

Following that is another favorite of mine, "Let's Pretend"

Following that is "Drivin Around", which sounds like a lost Beach Boys track.

The final tracks are "Starting Over" and "Don't Want To Say Goodbye", both serve as excellent farewells from the group.

This comp is absolutely wonderful! It's a great introduction to the band and a great collection of hits
