Great great memories of hearing this in the clubs back then both in the obvious more underground jazz-funk clubs and in the more mainstream places (around London and the Home Counties). Loved the jazzy piano back then - still do. Think many people had it in off one of the earliest Streetsounds compilations. The first few of those just about everyone seemed to have. Happy days. Love Town by Booker Newberry, Heavy Vibes, Montanna Sextet, Level 42 Are You Hearing, Oliver Cheatham, a couple of the Second Image singles and many more you can see why they used to say that 1983 was the end of an era.

This record is like an inter stellar galactic journey for your mind and the dub is absolutely stunning!!! One of Martinellis best records that all fans of good dance music should have the pleasure of at least hearing one time in their lifetime. If you like Raw Silks jams you may find this a bit freaky but it is really a psychedelic trip of a tune and to prove how serious this jam is I invite anyone to email me at via my websight for a free MP3 as I feel everyone should have a chance to enjoy this killer tune.

Proto-techno or what! Fantastic spaced-out but funky intro merges into groovy disco. Goes a bit flat with the vocal though - she's got a good but not *fantastic* voice, then it recovers a bit and gets funky again - then it stops! Bit of a strange mix but quite enjoyable and more adventurous imho than Do It To The Music.

Exact opposite of "Do It To The Music" While that was a happy, chearful disco tune, this is sort of sad and somber. The vocals are strong here, but the melody is very downbeat and depressing, like the lead singer just lost her loved one. The piano solo at the end is a bright spot.
