This pressing doesn't sound bad. It is not a perfect mastering but sounds very good in my opinion maybe a little bass shy but nothing dramatic, plus if you have a good subwoofer that is not even a problem. Absolutly silent pressing, perfectly centered, comes with a insert.. I also have the cd and this pressing sounds better in every way no doubt superior mastering I can hear much more detail and better instrument's separation

I think this pressing kind of sucks. Granted it's relatively clean, it's sounds thin. Very thin. It sounds like a CD on vinyl, not much analog flavor. It takes a lot of volume to get this record moving, and the low end is nearly non-exsistent.

It's indeed a great pressing. But lacks on bass IMO.

Anybody else feels the same?

Great soundstage and bass presence!

As a big fan of RHCP, this album sounds pretty great. I've read a lot of talk about the ideal version of this album being the 2003 German press, but to my ears it sounds like a really good CD, i.e. no brick-walling or tons of compression. For the price (I paid $21 shipped) you really can't beat it. So unless RHCP is your all time favorite band and you have to have the supposedly best sounding version, you really can't go wrong with this pressing. I can easily pick out separation of instruments on this press and its honestly dead quiet. Turn up the volume and see for yourself.

This is my favorite RHCP album and this pressing sounds wonderful! It's hard to describe but it definitely has a warmer sound that is not as sharp on the treble but not dull either. Also the packaging and inner art is excellent!

I listen to it at this moment and I can say that the sound quality is good, even very good. I must say that I wonder how Warner could do it because the original pressing came on two records and the album is rather long.
