Yet another early RSW release when the track listing on the sleeve/label don't tie up! The sleeve says for Side A
Space Gladiator (Remix)
Space Gladiator (LP Version)
However, the label says:
Space Gladiator (Vocal)
Space Gladiator (Satellite Of Dub)

In fact the tracks are actually
Space Gladiator (LP Version) from Soundclash
Space Gladiator (Satellite Of Dub) is a different (and shorter) mix to that which later appears on the RSW 1987-1995 compilation

It's In There sample originally by Peter Metro - Nuh Put It Deh

Does anyone know what the horn/fanfare sample is towards the end of Space Gladiator Dub/remix?

I happened to be working at the 429 Harrow Road branch of Mute records in West London and made some enquirers About The Phantom (it"s in there), What i was able to gleam was that the Phantom was not expected to have any impact or be a success, How wrong were the record label, The DJs and public loved that track and it became an underground hit that had a huge influence on the House music scene, remember Renegade Soundwave were an alternative Punk group and The Phantom was the extra side "B" track.
It all came as a shock to everyone involved.

Renegade Soundwave's The Phantom is track that never leaves my box. Intense broken up metallic satisfying madness that leads to a bass that blows you off your feet, hypnotic voice samples really do make this track one you can't help but rock too. All the elements are there which make's this track a true classic.
