It's rather hard to pigeonhole the style of music on this album...punk speed-twist a-go-go Merseybeat POWER pop cranked up to 11 might be my take on this. The album launches with Secret Of The Shadow and lets up only briefly in its pace with a couple slow ballads. Not only the pop music of the 60's seems to be an influence here but I'm reminded of obscure Japanese 60's cartoons with "Scuba Boy Bop". "Motorbike Beat" has always been a favorite, especially the discordant guitar "solo" which is near perfect. This album is like a big blenderful of supercharged pop-trash & bash mixed with a generous dose of primary colors and fired at your brain with a slingshot. And I mean that in a good way.
