This compilation is a nice way to have all the Rhythm & Sound/Tikiman collabs of the time on one CD, as they are top-notch examples of deep reggae singing combined with equally deep dub techno. However, the "versions" that follow each tune are pretty much just the tune minus vocals. Since they are called "versions", one would assume they are in the tradition of Jamaican dub versions, i.e. there would be some extra tweaking, mixing and effects going on in them, but that isn't really the case. Seems that Rhythm & Sound got lazy there, since it's extremely easy to simply add the instrumental as a separate track to fill the record space.

Eletronic Reggae, yep, no more, no less. Deep reggae, bass coming out right here, right now. No need to say it's straight five tunes with their version, you can play it over and all over again. Tikiman has such a great voice coming in and out, echoes of dub are all over the place. Maybe as notas filtered as the other basic channel/rhythms and sound other productions, but the sound is there, here.

And it wont let you down.
