Until I bought this CD I was profoundly convinced it would be impossible to sum up a decade of Richie Hawtin's recording career on one disc. While I'm still of the opinion that there is some merit to that statement, this release is the best ten step procedure to get quickly acquainted with his work. Taking the best from both of his most known projects, FUSE and Plastikman, adding his classic dance floor orientated monster of a track, Minus Orange, which is quite probably the best thing my ears have heard happen to electronic music, and voila: you're left with a piece of the past, present & future of this great visionary.
This release compiles the seminal tracks by one of the leaders in the world of contemporary dance music. Richie Hawtin is a pivotal figure within the realms of techno, while his innovations as both a DJ and a highly respected producer never cease to cause awe on a global scale in eyes of his fans. The man knowns his stuff, and this yet another great proof of that.

Richie Hawtin is one of the international techno circuit's most prolific music producers, creating an outstanding number of ground breaking projects over the past decade which have all consistently pushed the boundaries of minimal dance music. During this time, he has become best known for works under the alias' of FUSE, Plastikman and Circuit Breaker, a selection of which are featured on this discerningly compiled album licenced by Plus 8 to Hardware Records in Australia.
