First released as "Ann Steel" by Ann Steel.

Re-released as "The Ann Steel Album" by Roberto Cacciapaglia.

What's up with that?

"Sparkling World": this title could sum up the enchanting mood of the whole album. Some kind of Mary Poppins going electro. Very joyful and Vinushika's comment says it all. I would add it reminds me in various degrees the weird and subtle productions by David Cunningham mixed with early Michael Nyman's works when he suggested to file his records under "birdsongs"... MIR repress highly recommended, very good pressing including two anecdotical bonus songs.

Pretty good pressing, includes insert with lyrics. Also great price, bought my copy for 16 euros.
Great collection of songs

Long time i have posted a comment but i'm glad to make an exception for this one. Uplifting album with great synths. Ann Steel's voice and singing is quite unique and utterly effective. Found this for a dime at a local flea market. One of my best finds ever!

One of the most optimistic synthpop records you will ever hear, and it's in a whole class of its own. Ann Steel's vocals sound like Jun Togawa in Guernica, but with none of the strange sort of twitchy nervousness that pervades Guernica's sound, and a certain robotic quality that makes her fit right in with the complex electronic backing. Pure, sparking joy through buzzy synthesizers, as if listening to what the 30s thought computers would sound like today. I haven't heard much powerfully bright and cheerful synths like this since YMO's first album and Testpattern's Ryugu. My Time alone is worth the whole thing, but the tracks are all wonderful in their own way. Definitely recommended.

I remember seeing Ann Steel sing My Time on french TV. Don't forget the Telex version which is pretty cool too. Anyway i had this album on vinyl and i'm pretty sure that there were only 8 tracks on it. In my own opinion, tracks 9 and 10 are bonus tracks for this first (and maybe only - if it takes another 25 years to have a second print) release on CD…
