The always excellent Kraak & Smaak released this amazing track a few years ago which samples the main vocal from this. Top stuff.

does anyone know or remember a record which sampled the walking on sunshine lyrics ,but used them sparingly over a nice melancolic piano line..played out in manchester 89/90 often by g.park at the hac,and can be found on a few old mixtapes from that time.more of a setting atmosphere tune than a bangin tune but one that remains elusive to me.any help would be most excellent.

The original 12" on Streetwise calls the main vocal version and its edit "Walking on Sunshine '82" which seems to imply there was a pre-1982 version by Rockers Revenge. Actually, the '82 is just referring to the fact that it's an update (a cover version, in this case) of Eddy Grant's 1978 disco song.

Walking on Sunshine written by Eddy Grant this cover version followed Eddy's version two years later and became a top ten hit (No4)UK 1982 for 13 weeks for Rockers Revenge, Eddy Grant did not have a hit with this until some years later in 1989.
