For any Rolling Stones fan, this 2-disc CD "Voodoo Kiss" Live @ The Superdome, New Orleans, Lousiana 1994 is a Must for your collection!!! It's the Voodoo Lounge Tour (which I was fortunate enough to see them perform live, but not in Lousiana). I chose this 2-disc CD in Lousiana, both because I did want a live recording from the Voodoo Lounge tour, this is on Kiss The Stone label (whose tag-line is "the ultimate in quality" & I can attest, from amassing a good number of musicians' live performances on KTS, it's quite True!!). I also felt the Stones would give an extra amazing performance in New Orleans, which I believe is known as the home of jazz, but, and it's a big But, also to "honky-tonk" & after listening to it, I believe I did "hit the nail on the head"!!! (New Orleans has fun, wild, crazy & fond memories for me as I did spend 5 days of a Mardi Gras in '82 or '83 there, so I couldn't resist this particular live recording!! & "Voodoo Kiss" Brings It On Home for me!!)

Now, it's the Stones, so Any setlist is going to be phenominal...the best rock 'n roll band of all time, with the best back-catalog!! I like that it's 2 discs & so, contains the show, in its' entirety. They're mightly fair when compiling a setlist & there's early-to-mid-to the, at the time, current Voodoo Lounge tour. And the fella's give it their all & sound like the Giants of Rock 'n Roll which they are!! In fact, if anything, Disc 2 is even better; the longer they're on, the stronger they get!! They are just Amazing! Both discs are KTS quality: crystal-clear & I'm fussy with sound quality. I also purchased 2 earlier ones on The Godfather Records (for particular songs, dating back quite a bit further). One is from 1970 & one from 1974 & while they do sound more energetic, they by no means sound 20 years on, on "Voodoo Kiss" (if anything, half that, if not more)!! I stuck with labels I knew were of the highest quality. The further back you go, I wasn't recognizing any of the labels & was seeing "monotone" & "audience recording" noted on some. So, I'm extremely pleased with all 3: The other 2 are single discs, which I believe The Godfather Records must have taken the masters & cleaned them up, they sound so fantastic for live performances from the 70's. (I've left reviews on them as well: "Methodical Slow-Burn in Honolulu" and "West German Roll Over", the latter of which contains parts of 2 live shows.) I wasn't going to collect too many Rolling Stones bootleg's, but, that thought went right out the window, as I have another on order!! I highly recommend "Voodoo Kiss"!!!
