This record impressed and touched me so much when I first listened to it. I already knew the other Rome albums "Nera" and "Masse Mensch Material", which I both love too, but this one is the best Rome release yet. It's incredible that such a young band releases so much fantastic records in a row.
"Confessions" contains nothing but incredibly good songs with melancholic and dark moods, great melodies, meaningful lyrics and a use of samples that is just ingenious. It is impossible to name any favorites here, all tracks are pure joy. We have some classic Neo-Folk songs, some Military-Pop influences and many experimantal sounds. Altogether, the band creates a sound that I never heard before and that is just fascinating. Together with the deep lyrics, it's just amazing to listen through this album.
I really can't wait for the next Rome release. Everybody who is interested in ambitious dark music should listen to this band!
